Welcome to all our qathet region LGBTQIA2S+ Community, Allies, Friends, Family and Neighbours.

The qathet Pride Society is a non-profit community run organization, working on behalf of our members and the community to help us connect, celebrate and make a difference in the lives of all who live here.

Connection. Celebration. Inclusion. Diversity. Education. Equality.

Our goal is to represent you and the community, in producing our annual Pride celebration, and community events that allow us to connect — creating friendships and community. Safe and inclusive. A celebration of who we are as individuals and as a community together.

With respect and gratitude, we recognize that we live, work, and play on the traditional, homelands of the Tla’amin Nation and Coast Salish People since time immemorial.

qathet Pride Society notice of AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will be held Tuesday April 11th at 6pm at the Old Courthouse Inn in Edie Rae’s Cafe.

Please join us and consider joining as a member, volunteer, board person, allie, friend. We’ll discuss the future or qathet pride, elect a new board and approve the general direction for 2023 to 2028.

Should pride be celebrated in June or August or year-round ?

Should we bring Connie back, and/or be nurturing local performers and talent.

The board has applied for financial assistance and hopes to see a funded staff position to deliver on the community vision and priorities.

Get involved and have your say.

Community partners are encouraged to join us too.

Thank you.

Thanks to all who joined Us Saturday April 1, 2023 for the community conversation to explore the future of Pride in qathet.

The round-table facilitated community conversation explored a few questions related to creating JOYOUS ABUNDANT PRIDE in qathet.

See the new page  create pride in qathet

You’ll find an initial summary, raw notes and the wall of stickers/stickies created by those in attendance.

A survey will be created shortly for those of you who were not able to attend, we’d like to hear from you too. Be sure to have your say.
